Holiday Cottages and B&B in Exmoor
Exmoor National Park is a stunning area of outstanding natural beauty. There are plenty of holiday cottages and B&B in Exmoor from which to choose.
Exmoor is a great base for a holiday. Two-thirds of the National Park is in Somerset with the remaining third in Devon. You can enjoy breathtaking scenery from the highest summit at Dunkery beacon or enjoy a walk along the South West Coastal footpath that runs along the Exmoor coastline. Visit the picturesque Tarr Steps and enjoy a meal or drink at the Tarr Farm Inn, and relax and enjoy the beautiful views from the elevated gardens or terrace.
There are many pretty villages to visit including Porlock, a quaint fishing village full of traditional inns many of which offer good quality accommodation. The Cottage B&B in Porlock also offers 4 star accommodation, in one of the oldest buildings in the village.

Other villages include Selsworthy and Withypool, or Lynton and Lynmouth over the border into Devon. There is also the beautifully situated town of Dulverton which is full of B&B's and Guest Houses. At Weddon Cross right in the centre of Exmoor you will find the Rest and be Thankful Inn which offers good value bed and breakfast accommodation with the option of an evening meal.
On the other side of Exmoor near Minehead is the Medieval town of Dunster with it's imposing castle dominating the skyline. Here you will find several good quality small hotels such as The Yarn Market Hotel situated right in the centre of the town.
Many farms offer B&B and a number have converted farm buildings into comfortable holiday cottages. One lovely B&B is Higher Langridge Farm. You will find self catering cottages at Wintershead Farm and Riscombe Farm. The similarly named Triscombe Farm has a fabulous indoor swimming pool.

Most holiday cottages and B&B in Exmoor are graded by the AA or ETC (English Tourism Council). The grades range from one to five stars, the more stars the higher the quality and level of facilities you can expect.
