Bath Golf Club, established in 1880, is one of England’s oldest and finest inland courses. Laid out on ‘Hampton Down’, the course occupies a prominent position on one of Bath’s beautiful surrounding hills.

Water features come into play on many of the holes providing formidable hazards to the flat landscape. Being on the coast, the wind is often a feature, adding to the challenge of the course.

Attractions in Weston Super Mare

Bristol and Clifton Golf Club is a good old-fashioned members’ club. With fairway watering and a really keen green staff, the course is kept to a condition which can only be matched by very few clubs. In addition, the Club has practice facilities which include driving bays, chipping, pitching, and putting greens, practice bunkers, and a full area where members and visitors may hit their own balls. Visitors are always very welcome. The course can be set up to your particular needs and packages can be tailored to suit requirements.

Burnham and Berrow Golf Club is a natural links course that has played host to over 40 major amateur events including the men’s and ladies’ English Amateur Championship. It is a great test and although not easy, its layout is such that it is not unduly harsh on moderate players.

Cannington Golf Course, located just four miles from the historic town of Bridgwater and only twelve miles from Taunton, enjoys splendid views of the nearby Quantock Hills. It is a 9 hole, 18 tee course which is renowned for its ‘links-like’ appearance. Built to the highest international specification in 1992. The course offers both new and experienced players a satisfying and enjoyable game.

Chedington Court Golf Club is a picturesque 18 hole parkland course straddling the Somerset / Dorset border, described by ‘Fore!’ magazine as one of the prettiest golf courses in England. It offers challenging golf for all abilities in a beautiful setting.

Clevedon Golf Club proudly boasts of having one of the most picturesque golf courses in the South West. The views from the course are second to none, with the new Severn crossing adding to the splendid scenery of the opening few holes.

Farrington Golf & Country Club, situated some 20 minutes drive from Bristol and Bath, the 18 hole parkland course, with its lakes, USPGA specified greens, and range of tees offers a challenging test to all levels of golfer.

Frome Golf Club is a pretty parkland course set in the beautiful Mendip countryside on the outskirts of Frome (Access to be found from the A361 Nunney Catch roundabout). The course can be enjoyed by all levels of golfer but still offer a challenge to the more experienced.

The Isle of Wedmore Golf Club consists of 100 acres of special landscape area. Magnificent panoramic views of the Mendip Hills, Cheddar Valley, Glastonbury Tor, and Somerset Levels can be enjoyed from gently undulating fairways.

Long Sutton Golf Club is set in 118 acres of ideal golfing countryside in the heart of Somerset. The long, undulating fairways and beautifully maintained greens of this parkland course provide a great test for golfers of all standards.

Mendip Golf Club, “The hidden gem of the Mendips” Located in the attractive countryside at Gurney Slade near Bath, this beautifully designed, mature par 71 course presents a real change, with lies that some golfers can only dream about.

Minehead Golf Club is one of the oldest golf clubs in the West of England (founded in 1882), Minehead is justly proud of its course, which combines the best of links and some characteristics of parkland golf. The greens are as good, winter or summer, as you will find anywhere.

Oake Manor Golf Club, nestling between the Quantock, Brendon, and Blackdown Hills, Oake Manor is delightfully situated. Surrounded by the most breathtaking countryside, offering spectacular views and a superb golf course.

Saltford Golf Club is situated in an attractive stretch of country midway between the cities of Bath and Bristol and just off the A4. The Course nestles in a natural wooded setting with extensive views over the Somerset countryside.

Taunton Vale Golf Club is probably the most easily accessible club in the county. It is situated a little more than a 5-minute drive from either junctions 24 or 25 of the M5 motorway and a few minutes drive from the county town of Taunton.

Wells Golf Club is a par 70 6055 yard course, from the white tees, are an excellent challenging and well-presented course set in delightful parklands with panoramic views over the City of Wells, stretching over to Glastonbury Tor, Dinder, Dulcote, and towards Shepton Mallet.

Weston-Super-Mare Golf Club is an attractive Links Course situated at the southern end of Weston-Super-Mare Bay, with superb views across the Bristol Channel. The golf course at Weston dates back to 1892 with the great golf course designer Dr. Alistair Mackenzie, famous for The Masters at the Augusta National USA, adding to Weston splendor in 1922 with the course design you play today.

Wincanton Golf Club is a well-presented parkland course situated at Wincanton Race Course easily found from the A303. With nine greens and eighteen tees, the course is a fair challenge for all levels of golfer.
