Self Catering Accommodation in Somerset

Whether you would like to stay in a traditional thatched cottage with roses around the door or you prefer the spacious, modern feel of a converted barn, every taste can be catered for. There are also many apartments to choose from in the main seaside towns of Minehead and Weston-super-Mare and the cities of Bath and Wells. Hope Farm Cottages near Weston-super-Mare provides comfortable accommodation and will accept one well-behaved dog by prior arrangement.

Accommodation in Minehead

If you want to get a real feel for rural Somerset then a farm-stay is ideal. Many local farms offer bed and breakfast with superb traditional style breakfasts made with fresh local produce. In addition to bed and breakfast, many farms have converted their barns and outbuildings into comfortable self-catering accommodation. Some also have static caravans available. Farm-stays are ideal for those who want to appreciate rural Somerset at its best. They also make an ideal base for families with young children who will enjoy getting up close to the animals. Wintershead Farm in Exmoor provides excellent self-catering accommodation and is surrounded by stunning views of Exmoor.

Alternatively, you may prefer to stay in one of the many holiday parks in Somerset. They offer a variety of self-catering accommodation from apartments to chalets, log cabins to static caravans. The larger sites provide evening entertainment and kids clubs, as well as swimming pools and gyms. Woolacombe Lodges near Minehead provides comfortable accommodation in chalets and has excellent facilities for families with children.

Butlins has one of their biggest resorts in Minehead. However, other smaller Holiday Parks can be found throughout Somerset, some also cater for touring caravans and campers. Beachside Holiday Park near Burnham on Sea has well-equipped static caravans only a short stroll from the beach.

Museums in Somerset

St Audries Bay Holiday Club, set in the beautiful Quantock Hills, has an indoor swimming pool and a children’s playground. It also has electric hookups for touring caravans. There is a plentiful supply of self-catering accommodation in Somerset to suit everyone.
